Utopia for Golfers - Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low Golf In-store Launch
We’re pretty sure Travis Scott doesn’t have a rap song about golf in his repertoire, but that might change very soon. We’re talking the highly anticipated collaboration of the influential artist with the golf division of sportswear behemoth Nike. Following the release of his charts-topping album Utopia earlier this year, the Houston-born rapper will be dropping his very own Air Jordan 1 Low Golf. Given our love for the music genre, the Bisque Golf store in Amsterdam will host an exclusive release party for Continental Europe on Friday, October 13. Mind you, the store will see a dedicated Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low Golf installation, and to further boost the festive vibe, a raffle will be held. Let’s talk the coveted shoe first. It features an upper of nubuck, leather and mesh in a dark grey hue, while the nose and heel are accentuated in pristine white leather. The shoe’s most remarkable feature is Nike swoosh—the inner sides feature the swoosh in white, while the outer sides are adorned with a striking reversed black. A white mid-sole and contrasting grey outer sole, add subtle layering. And that’s not all. The collab shoe also comes with a tongue that’s not only decorated with the Air Jordan’s Jumpman figure, but also the logo of the Travis Scott-owned Cactus Jack record company.
Indeed, it’s going to be a special release party. We’ll transform our Bisque Golf store into an immersive setting with fitting desert-themed installations. The ground floor sees the timber wall panels overlaid with desert landscape visuals, while a larger desert backdrop will be installed at the far end of the store. Rock formations set in mini deserts dotted around the premises serve as displays and are paired with potted cactus plants. Upstairs, a bigger rock formation can be found, situated right next to the store’s shoe display brimming with Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low Golf trophies. See you there, the launch is going to be epic!
