What is the Presidents Cup?

How the matches work
Over four days, the teams play a mix of foursomes (alternate shot), four-ball (best ball) and, on the final day, twelve singles matches — 30 points in total, with 15.5 needed to win the Cup outright. Every match is its own contest worth one point, so a single bad session can flip the entire week, which is exactly what makes matchplay so different to watch from a normal tour event.
